Lonely Child of Darfur
I was born to be happy
No idea to be naughty
I praised the Almighty
My eyes on the blue sky
Expecting my future to be bright.
Days weeks months went
My happiness was my parents
Sorrow came in after their disappearance
I’ve got caught into intolerance
Never I’ll celebrate my 5th with my parents.
Today I’m alone on the street of Darfur
Everyday I pray for God to save my soul
I beg Almighty to come back to Darfur
Eager to see Janjaweed out of Darfur
No hope for tomorrow in my mind!
That is me.
The Lonely child of Darfur.
